This figure represents the Science Based COD Principles to be applied to all COCE work. Three sets of principles include: client-oriented, organization-oriented, and staff-oriented. Examples of these principles include the centrality of the affected person and his or her family, friends, and significant others to all service decision-making, and the importance of the partnership between science and service.
