Frequently Asked Questions About COCE TA

  • Is there cost for COCE TA services to the requestor?

    No. COCE services are jointly funded by CSAT and CMHS. All COCE TA services are free of charge.
  • Can I use the webmaster to find out more information on co-occurring disorders or to request COCE services?

    No. E-mails to the webmaster should pertain to usability of the Web site.  Any requests for content related information or COCE services should be directed to coce@samhsa.hhs.gov.
  • Can I obtain referrals to co-occurring treatment providers?

    No. COCE is not a treatment referral agency and cannot make specific recommendations or endorsements of individual treatment facilities or types of treatment. If you need assistance immediately, please call 911 or call the suicide hot line at: (800) 273-8255 for help. For a listing of State and National crisis help line you may also visit the following web site: http://www.mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/hotlines/

    In addition, for mental health treatment programs, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides a National Mental Health and Information Center (NMHIC), (800) 789-2647 and a mental health services locator at the following web site: http://www.mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/databases/.

    For substance abuse treatment programs, SAMHSA provides a substance abuse treatment services Locator at http://findtreatment.samhsa.gov/. All of the facilities listed in the Locator are licensed, certified or otherwise approved for inclusion by their State’s substance abuse treatment authority. To make certain that a facility identified by the Locator meets your particular needs, call the facility directly.

  • Can I request hard copies of publications (documents, media products etc.)?

    No.COCE is not a clearing house but some documents may be downloadable through the links provided in our web site.  For documents not available, SAMHSA has a wide variety of publications and other media products for the general public and for providers of substance abuse and mental health prevention and treatment services. Interested persons can receive these products by mail from SAMHSA's Clearinghouses. All Items are Free of Charge
